the company
Located in the world's biggest cork industrial centre - 30 kms south from the city of Porto in Portugal - I own a small familiar and traditional cork company, a business that was started by my grandfather and has passed on to the next generations.
Here we are specialised in the extraction and transformation of cork. With this natural resource we supply and ship worldwide raw cork for other professionals, virgin cork bark for reptiles, terrariums, airplants and garden decoration, all kinds of cork stoppers for bottles, jars and vials in any standard and personalized measure - natural, agglomerated and micro granulated - also cork granulate in bulk in different granule size and density, and finished agglomerated cork products such as yoga blocks, office and kitchen items, personal gifts and so on.

THE WINE PROJECT
The direct link between cork stoppers and wines led me to study the WSET level 2 and 3, accomplishing both with distinction. I felt the importance of understanding the impact of the cork stopper on the wine, the importance of the dialogue with winemakers and understanding their wines.
Now as a hobby I promote wines and wine brands, organizing wine tasting dinners, reselling wines and using social media to share reviews and news.
I also participate in international wine exhibitions with the perspective of finding new clients for the corkstoppers we make but also with the possibility of working and representing brands in those wine exhibitions and also to discover new wines to promote and to resell.
